Il y a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 pas moins de six conf\u00e9rences et une communication scientifique, partageant son expertise en chirurgie de la cataracte et r\u00e9fractive avec des coll\u00e8gues du monde entier.<\/p><p data-start=\"830\" data-end=\"1159\">Mais le v\u00e9ritable point culminant ? Le Dr Mertens a r\u00e9ussi l\u2019examen exceptionnellement exigeant du FEBOS-CR, une certification europ\u00e9enne de haut niveau d\u00e9cern\u00e9e uniquement \u00e0 un groupe restreint de chirurgiens ophtalmologistes. Dans le monde entier, seuls 62 sp\u00e9cialistes ont obtenu ce titre \u2014 dont seulement trois en Belgique.<\/p><p data-start=\"1161\" data-end=\"1537\">Le titre FEBOS-CR (Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology Subspecialty \u2013 Cataract &amp; Refractive Surgery) constitue une reconnaissance d\u2019un savoir-faire et d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience exceptionnels dans ce domaine hautement sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9.
