These tiny mites live in the hair follicles and sebaceous glands of the eyelids. When they multiply in large numbers, they can cause irritation, itching, redness, and inflammation.<\/p><p data-start=\"426\" data-end=\"712\">Nevertheless, this condition is often overlooked. That is why it is important for ophthalmologists to know how to recognize and correctly treat DB. In a recent video series on Eyetube, international experts share their insights on this topic, directly from their practical experience.<\/p><p data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"909\">Dr. Mertens also speaks in the series.
